Hitchcock joins Bedford Town

Eagles land another forward.

The 26-year-old forward joins the Eagles following a wealth of experience in the game. At a young age, he made Premier League appearances for Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers. After loan spells at Plymouth, Bristol Rovers, Crewe Alexandra and Rotherham, he joined Milton Keynes Dons in 2014 and was with them for three seasons. After leaving the Dons, he had spells with Biggleswade Town, Boreham Woods, Chelmsford and Chesham. Last season he spent time with Cheshunt and Harlow, where he scored 5 goals in 11 games.

Speaking to www.bedfordeagles.net, manager Jon Taylor commented "When I was presented with the opportunity that Tom was up for grabs it was a no brainer. A lad who has played in the Championship is some feat. He will not only add the wealth of experience to the team, but his all-round game is well polished too and he also has a knack of scoring a lot of goals in the box, what we would call a fox in the box.

This is a great signing for the club and shows our ambition and aspirations going forward."
