Right-back Jack Goodall has headed out on a one-month loan to Southern League Division One South side Slimbridge AFC. During the loan period, Goodall could make six appearances for the Swans, five league games and one FA Trophy encounter with Mangotsfield.
Player Profile - Jack Goodall
Goodall is one of the more inexperienced players of the Seagulls squad and is a right-back who is capable of getting up and down the right flank, with his qualities able to move defence into attack.
Having started out with the Seagulls academy after joining as a U14, Goodall then spent a year away from the club before being reintroduced to the club by then-U18 manager Jake Mawford in 2016-2017. Goodall was the starting RB for Mawford’s title-winning U18 side, as well as gaining Southern League experience in the South & West league with Bridgwater in 2017 towards the back-end of the season, however, he was unable to prevent them from staying up.
During 2017-2018, Goodall tried his hand at getting experience in the Western League Premier Division with Shepton Mallet on dual registration, playing 26 times and scoring one goal. The right-back was integrated into Marc McGregor’s first-team set up during the final month of the campaign, making his debut away to Welling United and starting for the first time in the Somerset Premier Cup final triumph over Paulton Rovers in a 2 – 3 victory, putting in a star performance.
In 2018-2019, Goodall again spent time in the Western League with Shepton Mallet on dual registration, this time making 29 appearances as Shepton finished in mid-table. The young defender was then drafted in by caretaker manager Mark McKeever for the final month of Weston’s campaign, with Goodall performing consistently.
On 11th September 2019, Goodall signed for Southern League Division One South side Slimbridge AFC on a month’s loan.
