Duncan becomes a Martyr

Defender released and snapped up by Merthyr Town

Merthyr Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Camden Duncan ahead of the Martyrs forthcoming campaign in the BetVictor Southern League Premier.

The left-sided defender or midfielder was released by Cheltenham Town at the end of last season after completing his two-year scholarship. Duncan, 18, spent time on loan at Hellenic League Premier Division club Lydney Town in 2018/19 and he has also included in the senior matchday 18 squad for both League Two and Checkatrade Trophy matches. Has featured in most of the Town’s pre-season schedule where he will mostly be remembered for his unbelievable strike against Aberfan Social whilst bagging a brace that night.

Speaking on the signing, He said “I’m delighted to join this fantastic football club. I really enjoyed working with my teammates over pre-season but now to finally sign is great. Now I’m just really excited for the big campaign ahead”.
