Rowe Earns Scunthorpe Move

Two-year Professional Deal

SkyBet League One club Scunthorpe United have completed the signing of defender Jai Rowe.

The 17-year-old, who’s been on non-contract terms with Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division Central side Barwell, has penned a two-year deal with the Iron.

The Nuneaton-based right-back, who can also play in midfield, joins United as another promising young player and will link up with the under-23 squad going forward.

Rowe, who has scored 3 goals in 30 league appearances for Barwell this season, has played two trial games for the Iron in recent weeks.

Firstly, he played the full encounter against a strong Rotherham United XI back in February, which finished 2-2, while he recently played an hour in the 9-1 victory over RIASA Showcase.

Rowe is a member of Rugby Town`s academy.
