Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South club Salisbury FC have signed 19-year-old goalkeeper Liam Driscoll on loan from SkyBet Championship side Reading.
Driscoll replaces another loanee keeper from Reading, James Hillson, who made the deadline day move to Premier League Arsenal.
Liam came through various youth sides and representative teams in Western Australia and played for Perth Glory's under-18 side.
But although, of English descent, his aim was to forge a career in English football and trialled with several clubs in 2015.
In July 2015, he was signed by Reading on a two-year scholarship and impressed throughout his first year.
The 2016/17 season was a key one for Driscoll as he regularly impressed with stand-out performances for Reading under-18's but also progressed to making his under-23 debut.
He was rewarded with a professional contract in the summer of 2017 and joined the first-team on their pre-season tour, followed by a very successful loan playing for Staines Town giving him his first taste of senior football and then an invitation to training with an England goalkeeper camp.
After returning from his loan spell, Driscoll was installed as the first choice under-23 keeper at the club and promising performances led to a new contract, committing him to the Royals until the summer of 2020.
